A Remodeling Company Is Born

Bill Weidmann founded this Atlanta-based remodeling company, Weidmann & Associates, Inc., in 1989 in lieu of relocating for the tenth time in 13 years. Although he had risen to the position of President of Operations for US Home, one of the country’s largest home builders of the time, Bill decided it was time to establish roots for his wife and their four children. From that decision, Weidmann Remodeling - Renovation was born.

With Bill's Structural Engineering degree and over 20 years of construction management experience, the new remodeling company quickly gained recognition in the Atlanta market. Within 5 years, it was among the 15 largest. In 1995, to continue company growth without sacrificing client service, Bill’s brother Dan joined the business. Dan’s background in business law, experience in project management with the U.S. Air Force, and an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, all added to the strength of the company.

Renovation and Remodeling Excellence

By 1997, the brothers hard work and enduring commitment to client satisfaction in the renovation and remodeling fields elevated Weidmann to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Top 10 Remodeler” list, where the company has remained ever since. In 1998, Remodeling Magazine named Bill and Dan Weidmann to its “Big 50” list, one of the industry’s most coveted awards. The magazine selects 50 remodelers each year as models of excellence in all areas of the business. The key to Weidmann’s success has been its focus on meeting or exceeding client expectations at every phase of a renovation or remodeling project. Unlike new home building, the majority of remodeling is done with the homeowner residing in the midst of the construction project. Accordingly, the company’s goal is to make the whole contractor/client relationship a pleasant experience. After all, even high quality work will do little to offset a painful remodeling experience. The final result? Superior client satisfaction, with nearly 90% of Weidmann's work coming from repeat or referral clients.
