We are so excited to announce that one of our projects is up for a national award!
Weidmann won the Southeast Regional CotY Award for "Best Residential Interior $75k - $150k". This project involved taking a 70's style interior and turning it into a stylish home with an open floorplan with modern features. The clients initially came to us through the professional association, the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. The couple loved their home, but they needed more space in the master bath and closet. In addition to expanding and modernizing the master suite, we also remodeled their home office. Check out the video below to see the project.
This beautiful interior design project won "Best Residential Interior $150k And Over" at the recent 2018 Contractor of the Year Awards presented by the Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Weidmann & Associates is grateful to all the vendors and associates who worked as a team to complete the project. We opened up the first floor without having to add any rooms or take space from existing rooms.
Verena Salme of Yellow Bungalow worked with Weidmann as our Interior Design partner. She worked closely with the client on the color palette and custom touches to blend contemporary elements with the overall transitional style. The clients felt their very traditional home didn't reflect their tastes. In addition, the first floor didn't function well. The kitchen was closed off from other living areas of the home. Now, with a more open floor plan, as well as contemporary finishes, the home reflects the client's needs, style, and desires. Check out our slideshow of photos below.
We are so pleased that General Contractor Magazine named Weidmann & Associates as the top residential general contractor in Georgia. The editors told us it was the combination of outstanding client reviews and ratings, publications in top industry magazines, awards for both design and service, and our media coverage that led them to select us as the top company. Check out the list.
Client satisfaction is what drives Weidmann & Associates. We strive to exceed
expectations on every project. Watch the video to see what are clients think.
This video shows a recent remodel involving the kitchen and surrounding areas. The clients were looking for a more open kitchen that would give them more room and better functionality and enjoyment. As you’ll see, the space is now open and bright, helping them better enjoy beautiful views to their yard.
Our Lake Oconee office recently completed this beautiful commercial remodeling project. Kim and Lin Logan Real Estate hired Weidmann to complete another office renovation previously. We were thrilled to work with them again on this new office for their expanding business. Kris Marhall leads our Lake Oconee offices.

We frequently receive calls from homeowners who are interested in remodeling their home to prepare it for sale. Frequently, the desire to make improvements is accompanied with an expectation that the investment will be recouped in the purchase price. Unfortunately, while improvements are likely to shorten the time that a house remains on the market, there are very few that will increase the sales price dollar for dollar. Indeed, the bigger the project, the more likely the cost of the project will greatly exceed the expected return.
For example, according to Remodeling Magazine’s most recent Cost versus Value Report, the expected return on a major kitchen remodeling project in the Atlanta market is only around 65% of its cost. This is why major projects are usually undertaken by homeowners that plan to stay in the home for an extended period of time and recoup their investment in part from the increased value of their home and the rest from the increased enjoyment of living in it.
