In Town or Out of Town
Most of our clients live in their home while we are working on their remodeling project and we work hard to isolate them from the potential inconveniences of living in a construction zone. However, others are off site during construction. While some of these clients remain close by as the changes to their home are made, it is not unusual for us to handle projects for homeowners who are out of state or even out of country while we work in their home. Is it Time for a Change? Reorganize your space on the go.
Whether or not you can be close by during a remodeling project, rest assured that Weidmann is there for you. Indeed, your project manager will be on site daily to make sure we are delivering everything as promised, while maintaining regular and timely communication among and between our clients, trade contractors, suppliers and office. With today’s technology, our staff has the capability to keep you in the loop, whether you are down the street or around the world due to business, an extended vacation, or residing at a second home. We will work with your schedule and availability to provide regular updates on the progress of the job. Moreover, like all of our jobs, the Weidmann Team takes the lead on assuring that all work meets our high quality standards, with great attention to detail.
Out of state, around the world or on a cruise remodeling or renovating a home from a distance is possible.
Even a large project can be completed while you are away. With proper planning and preparation, there is no reason that a little distance should prevent you from undertaking a sizable change to your Atlanta home.
> In one case, we only saw our Russia based client three times during the design and completion of their penthouse condominium renovation. With routine communication about their desires, selections and construction progress, more frequent visits were not required. When we were done, they simply made their first family trip to Atlanta and stepped into their new “home away from home.”
> Although not quite as far removed, we designed and built a second home for a Colorado based client in the Georgia mountains. While the husband, who was frequently in Atlanta on business was able to make fairly regular visits to the job, his wife was not. They had selected a property here in Georgia and wanted to create a “Generational Home,” where their whole family will come together for holidays and other special events. A beautiful location, with small, rustic farmhouse was selected and we then set out to build the custom home of their dreams. The homeowners were kept abreast of the project from ground breaking to completion. Monthly photos were taken on site, sent to the client and referenced in discussion with the project manager. Continuous communication moved this custom home build along on a seamless production path. Today, the family enjoys beautiful sunsets over the Georgia mountains.
> Finally, we just completed a job where the completion date for the job extended well past the departure date for a planned four month cruise. By confirming all selections before departure and regular correspondence and photographs during the cruise, the client could enjoy both the transformation of her home and the ever changing scenery beyond the balcony of her room at sea. Upon journeys end, she had both life-long memories of her trip and a beautiful home for creating new ones.
